Some see that as a problem, I see it as a prediction Bjorn! The trick to
unload it is to unlock the diff via switch, but leave the power on, until just
before you want it to disengage. Then, blip the throttle, bingo. At Steamboat,
I got this down to about a 10foot predictable window.
This method assumes that you have good vacuum and a clean/lubed rear
activation mechanism.

The only problem will be that the mechanism tends to 'stick' while
loaded, at least mine most often need some unloaded distance to
disengage. YMMV..
