Hap's wife observed:
>>"Wow, you can accelerate no problem going uphill in 6th gear. No wonder
you've spent so much money on this car."<<
Now I'm convinced Hap...You really do live in paradise!
Dave Burig, who's wife is more likely to be overheard saying:
"Wow, your spending on this car has really accelerated. Why don't you drive
it off a cliff in 6th gear!"

Just thought I'd pass along more observations that have come along recently.
I recently had to have my wife drive my car so to prepare her for this event
I
gave her a little dual instruction. She had not driven my car for almost 2
years and the differences amazed her. Her first comment concerned the
acceleration and boost threshold. She couldn't believe how quick the car
felt. Her
second observation occured as we drove up I-70 west out of Golden CO into
the
mountains. "Wow, you can accelerate no problem going uphill in 6th gear. No
wonder
you've spent so much money on this car."
My second set of observations concern another lister's car. I am visiting
the
SFO area on a layover tonight and Brian Billotti got a kitchen pass so we
could hook up, have sushi, and talk s-cars. A big part of these get
togethers is
me behind the wheel of his car to provide critique on his state of tune.
Well,
after many problems with several engines in the past 2 years, things are "Oh
my goodness this car is fast!!!" now. Edwin is Edwienna no more. This is one
of the quickest cars I have ever driven, period. The torque curve on this
car
is as flat as Twiggie. Doing a 6th gear pull from 2300 rpm, he's at full
boost
at 2900 rpm. My car is not at full boost until 3400 rpm. The only major
difference would be his test pipe vs my Borla after the downpipe, oh yeah,
and that
altitude thingy.
I can't wait to get my car out to the ACNA National event at Sears Point in
November. I think I'm going to really like this sea level aspect to boost
threshold. More to follow.
Hap, soon to be back in Everboost(its so beautiful, who cares if its 8000 ft
above sea level), Maguire
