To all of you UrS4/S6 Trackers:

I personally have no desire to track my 95.5 S6 - getting too old but
I would like to know what times you run at Blackhawk in Illinois.

I tend to agree with QSHIPQ that there are much better cars for
track duty. I personally liked my 1984 Carrera which for a modest
amount of $$ was very enjoyable at Blackhawk and I ran at a fair
number events there. Towards the end and before I sold it, I was
consistantly running 1:25s. My 911 had stock brakes, R-1 tires,
chipped to 220HP, factory sport suspension, race seat, harness,
and 2 suspension braces. Also, for whatever its worth, generally
1 to 2 Porsches would be significantly bent each and every track
session I attended. I never bent mine - luck I guess.

If I have any words of advise - if you're going to track your car, Blackhawk
is a great track to learn on. Don't start at RoadAmerica. It's seriously
fast
and the crashes I've seen are quite intense.

Mark near Chicago
