In my opinion totally not worth the money as the rest won't the
components will not match the calibre of the deck dulling its
capabilities.

I think this head unit is the best deal by far. I've heard it, it
sounds great. The illumination is a perfect match. It plays MP3s and
best of all it's really cheap. Did I mention you get two free 10"
subwoofers with it? All for $149!

If you want a suggestion on a head unit... I'd suggest the new Nakamichi
CD400. 24 bit technology, color switching display, and darn good
looking. This unit will be appealing to the folks who used to like
Alpines for their simple/clean look. I'm not in to bouncing displays,
screen savers, etc... but simple clean functionality that looks at home
in my dash. This unit does, performs outstandingly, and won't break the
bank. They are all over ebay, most are "buy it now" only. 2 of us
locally have bought them from seller "CBRStereo" and the cost was
$309.00 to the doors. You won't be dissappointed... and no, I'm not
seller, nor do I know the seller.
Another great source for stereo stuff is Etronics.com. Routinely 1/2
the cost of Crutchfield on many items, and they have great service.
HTH,
Dave
