Subject: [s-cars] Cruise control?

Joel,

I had the exact same symptoms as you are describing. It turned out to be a
clogged vent hole in the servo switch at the vacuum pump. The pump is
located in the left fender behind the coolant and hydraulic fluid
reservoirs. You will see a small 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch long nipple that is
most likely filled with dirt. Clean it out with a needle or paper clip and
you should be back in business. This failure is pretty scary! Feels kind
of like a law suit for someone against Audi.
