Dave, there are a few reason's that I didn't go with the Centerforce
Clutch. The main one is that I had to buy from a reseller and that they
basically had no tech support to answer my questions. Sure there is a
guy that will answer the phone but his knowledge is limited and specific
to this clutch he has little or no knowledge. I was also going to
switch to an aluminum flywheel and or possibly have my old one
resurfaced. Centerforce wouldn't modify there's to match the holding
force on a resurfaced flywheel and gave no help on a custom one to
correctly match or even check the aluminum one.

Spec offered to not only resurface my old dual mass, something that only
a handful of companies in the US can do properly. They also suggested
that if I got the aluminum one I send it to them just to fit there
clutch to the flywheel. It may not be necessary any more to send the
MPD aluminum to them because of this but it was nice that they where
willing to custom fit at no extra charge.

If you are going to stick with the dual mass flywheel, spec also offers
a light weigh version of there clutch.

For other reason's take a look at the thread entitled "RE: [s-cars]
Clutches - Stock vs. Aftermarket"

Just one mans opinion.

The SPEC clutch does look nice... but I'd consider the Centerforce as
well. The only Centerforce model available for the early S cars is the
dual friction model (the top of their line) and costs $355 from Summit
Racing. The dual friction model has a 90% increase in clamping force
over stock, and should be more than suitable for 2.2 power levels.
HTH,
Dave
