yes, and they're also heavier because of the additional internal

how deep are their pockets?  how often do they replace those
rotors?  that's basically a "replace every race" proposition that
only well-funded teams/owners can afford.  club racers learn pretty
quickly that plain rotors are cheaper and last longer.

marine bilge fans move a lot of air through the ducts.
you can get away with a smallish duct if you use fans,
but the fans may not be legal in your race class.
