it'll run down and forward.  not ideal, but it'll help keep the lap belts
down.

as for mounting, i see what you mean.  you'd have to use a steel piece
with standoff plates that attach to the seat brackets.  well, you could
just drill a hole in the floorpan and use a large washer as a backing plate.

what's the angle that sparco recommended?  SCCA rules say no more
than 40 degrees from the horizontal.  seems like that'd be tough to do
with the shoulder belts anchored to the rear lap belt anchors.
