If you haven't already read and done this; do it. Or maybe do it
again.

1144's are rather metallic track / rally pads. I run them year round
(but make a conscious effort to warm them up in winter) w/99.9% squeal
free stops. I am not using dampers, though they could help your
situation since you're running the A8 rotors. From what I've read via
da list most squealing seems to come with the A8 rotors not so much with
the 993tt. Assuming you don't want to spend the dough on those, I would
try some aggressive bedding (fun) procedures and also try more
aggressive daily driving stops. Brake harder at first then ease off.
It should help.
Maybe someone else can post a good bedding procedure too.

Lovin the smell of burning brake pads;)
Ps. speakin of burning; whilst drivin in this AM I saw a large cloud of
smoke billowing several blocks from my house. Only drove close enough
to see the entire front middle section of a house totally engulfed in
flames with no fire dept yet in sight. House and everything in it is
sure to be a total loss. Whoah, man what a catastrophe for someone.
Lets be careful with those candle lit pumpkins and straw etc. there
men:)

Blue Sticky Anti-Squeal. With light pedal effort, which is all the time
now
since the car stops with such big brakes, herendous squealing. Wives,
children, little dogs run the other way when I hit the brakes. At 5MPH
or
less, I activate the ABS. I have now "bumped" two fences. Should I
chamfer
the leading and trailing edges of the pads, cut a groove in the center
of
the pad, Porsche pad dampeners? I'm at a loss and my ears are starting
to
ring from the loud volume on the radio to mask the squealing brakes. Any
BTDT? Thanks again for your help.
