[s-cars] Pads for Big Brakes - Seat Harness

No pictures, but can easily describe what I did. I used
3 of the OEM attachment points and created a 4th.
Purchase (for each harness):
- 4 eyebolts designed for harness application.
- 2 fender-style washers designed for harness application
- 1 locking nut, suitable for use with 1st item above
Remove trim on b-pillar. Replace seatbelt attachment bolt
with 1 eyebolt. Install harness, leave b-pillar trim loose
at bottom. (I've been threatening to cut it and rig up an
access cover fastened by velcro) This gets your outside seat.
Remove rear seat. Replace 2 seatbelt attachment bolts with
2 eyebolts. Attach harness and reinstall rear seat.
The coup de grace will be to locate a spot for the inside
(near drive tunnel) belt attachment point. On the Avants,
there's a small plate (~3in x 3in) with a hole in the
center. It's located near the drive tunnel and about 3"
aft of the b-pillar center. The hole has enough diameter
to clear the harness bolt and the plate. It also has
the benefit of being welded on and adding strength to,
the floorpan.
After careful calculation and pullback of carpet to make
sure no vacuum, electrical, etc. components were in harm's
way, I drilled a hole through the floorpan, aligned with the
hole in the aforementioned plate. Poke a hole in the carpet
and reinstall carpet.
Install eyebolt and one washer from the top. Stick a 1/2"
long extension in it. (not required if you have a lovely
assistant)
Crawl under car and install remaining washer and locknut.
Tighten carefully so that the extension is used to keep
the eyebolt from rotating. Align to suit and attach harness.
