Steve - having now removed the stock IC from my car, and not taken careful
note of the average temperature drop across the stock IC, can you tell me
what kind of temperature readings you are seeing on your Davtron in the form
of intake temperature minus ambient?
As I recall (without having to put the stock IC back on the car), I was
seeing something like @ an overall 6°F to 8°F temperature difference under
casual, no or low boost cruise conditions with the stock core. By way of
comparison, with the long, side-to-side flow core similar to the one on
Hap's car, one would see in the range of 3°F above ambient under similar no,
to low boost (i.e. highway cruising at 70 to 80 mph on relatively flat
terrain.
You're running at a much lower altitude of course than people in and around
the semi mystical town of Everboost so I suspect, but don't know, this might
cause you to be seeing different numbers, ... and of course my recollection
of the stock IC's figures could be confused with all the other numbers I've
looked at over the past couple of years.
Thanks
mlp
