[s-cars] 95 versus 95.5 - how to tell?

Having just sold my 1991 200Q, I am in the market for a 1995.5 S6,
preferably black/black.  No rush, I will wait for the right car at the right
price.  I am in the northeast, but I am looking anywhere along the eastern
seaboard instead of limiting my search to local cars.  There seems to be a
good selection available, and, for some reason, prices seem to have dipped a
bit over the summer.

Anyway, I want the 95.5, but I often have trouble telling the difference
from photos and ads.  I know that they were many changes during the extended
1995 model year, but what are some of the features that denote an .5 car?  I
know enough to look at the b pillar for the absence of IR buttons, and the
radio/cigarette lighter location, but what else?  Does anyone know the
production date when the change occurred?  How 'bout a VIN split?  Bueller?
