Lee,
About 5 days after installing my ECS stage 2s last October, Bambi jumps out
in front of me mit wife riding shotgun.
Quoth Dear Wendy as we stopped about 3' short of the quadruped, "AAAAAHHHHH,
HOLY SH!T, wow!"
Never heard another gripe about the cost of the brakes.
So get a friend to don a bear suit (deer are lousy conspirators) and jump
out in front of you, reared up on his hind legs, (I would do this at night)
and put on a show for The Wife(tm). If you're really good, juuuuust bump
your friend (errrr, the bear) in the knees. Explain to stunned passenger
that the brakes are only as good as the rubber between them and the road,
and better (bigger) tires are much gentler on the wildlife!

First of all, if you have all that go, you gotta stop, right?
Second, brake work isn't actually an upgrade, it's a prophylactic
replacement of items that wear out.
