Get yourself a public insurance adjuster...a guy that works for you and
knows how to deal with the insurance company. They typically take 10% off
the top, but it's well worth it.

We worked with one on some water damage to the house, and they doubled the
insurance company's initial offer (and we didn't think we were due
anything!)
