I spanked on of these Merco with an Audi in May.
OK the Audi was the RS6 MTM car (570 HP, 80 mkg) ! ! !

May be they are torque monsters but they have automatic gearbox. Not for
me !

Regards,
Frederic

I got jumped on the FWY here in California (not North Joe, West, which
may be worse) by an SL55, and I completely agree with Frank's comments.
It went like a 426 Hemi in a 'Cuda. Crapped all over my modded 200TQ
(not hard to do, I agree). I mean, it went right to 100mph, like RIGHT
NOW. I have a younger friend (28 y/o, I'm 40) that hates wussy
Mercedes the way I hated Cadillacs in the 70's and 80's. I told him to
drive one of the Supercharged models and get back to me. He drove a
C32, and was dutifully impressed. Is considering it over an V8 S4.

I'm wondering how the 26psi S6 Avant Mit Der RS2 Goodies will fare
against such a monster...

JP,

How sad am I? I am just now able to respond to a
message from 7/11!
Things have been super crazy hectic for me here. Work
is far busier
than
it was 12 months ago.
I have, however, been able to drive a spate of killer
rides: SL55, Z8,
Boxster S, Touareg, all the Jag R cars, Volvo R cars,
and many, many
more. Including A8L, 760Li, M3 SMG cabrio all coming
up in the next few
weeks.

I'll tell you though the SL55 was unreal in terms of acceleration and
torque. A cross between modern day techno-wizardry and the golden-era of
american muscle car tire turning ability. I should have been arrested
for criminal speeding 100 times over. Including when I took it up to
140mph and lost my nerve. It was still accelerating! Autos are often
referred to in the feminine, well, this girl had bigger balls than I do!

My reviews are online, but w/o pics, so they lose
something. I plan on
improving my internet connectivity and putting a site
up with all my
reviews and comments on all of the cars that I am
driving these days.
I'll re-sub to the list at that point and share the
link.

Say hello to the list for me, and let them know that I
am still an
Audi-guy (although that AMG sure talked to me).
