[s-cars] Track car or not track car

My car is a 89 model year and, although officially only some of the 88's were Turbo S's, all 89's & 90's have all of the S upgrades to the turbo, suspension and brakes. Except oddly, most 89's don't have the brake ducts, which all the 88 S's and many earlier non-S's had.

The factory ducts aren't that effective anyway, but yes there is a kit from OG Racing that fits the stock fender liner cutouts/grille openings with a hose to a duct behind the rotor hat. Works great and not too expensive. I run stock Turbo S rotors/calipers with Carbotech race pads and the OG cooling kit and have no brake issues on the track.

Yeah, there are all kinds of suspension kits available. The 968 M030 swaybars are just a bolt-on, again relatively inexpensive, but effective upgrade.

Gary,
If you're the owner of a 951S, you should know that the car already
comes
with brake cooling ducts. If you mean the ducting from the wheelwell
liner
to the rotor hat, then yes, it could use that for track use.

If you're going to larger swaybars, why not 951 Cup suspension?

Taka
