[s-cars] CD00 Err

I have a 93 urS4 and recently had similar CD player malfunctions, didn't play, couldn't eject. Hitting the eject button did nothing (no motor sound).

Try unplugging the power & control cables, but instead of immediately plugging these back in----wait 5-10 minutes. On my 93, the quick unplug/replug did not do anything. However when I waited several minutes, replugging produced a power up cycle and the cassette immediately ejected.

Must be some capacitor thing...

Hope this helps.

Subject: [s-cars] CD00 Err

s-car audio aficionados,
I am getting a "CD00 ERR" when I try to play a cd. There are cds in my
6-disk changer, but when I try to eject the cd cassette there is no response
either with the engine running or not (I'm pretty sure you can eject the cd
cassette at any time). I tried unplugging and replugging and there has been
no response.
My battery was recently changed. Could this have messed something up? What
can I do to get my cd player back on track? How can I remove the cd
cassette?
TIA,
Ken
