So I am getting fairly serious about building my equal length tube
header.
First question:
Does anyone have any data, i.e. lengths and tubing i.d. for a lehman,
mtm or audi motorsports tube header or even the SQ em?
Second Q:
What size for the primary tubes. Anyone using stepped tube sizes. I
can get 321 s.s.180 bend's in 1.75" x .049 wall for pretty cheap like 30
ea. Approx 5 or so needed. The stock exhaust ports would match up with
1.625 x .049 wall perfectly. They are more like $58 ea for the bends.
I am wondering if loosing the velocity will be an issue.
More Q's:
Anyone have recommendation on exhaust velocity, I have talked to some
people, turbonetics and Innovative but have not gotten any answer with
much confidence. I am wondering if anyone has bothered to fill out
burns stainless's engine exhaust analysis sheet. To have a header tube
size and configuration for out motors anylised.
I have the material for the flanges, and have done the cad and cam for
it. 316 stainless steel approx .48 in thick. If anyone wants one let
me know. I will be running them sometime next month. I will also be
running inlet flange to the turbo and outlet flange from the turbo,
k-24/k-26. I have enough material to run approx 5 sets of exhaust
flanges and a few sets of turbo flanges.
