For what it's worth the TAP stage 1 isn't that bad.
They may have upgraded the sensor to 3-bar as part of the stage 1 package,
not sure. You may have seen the sensor in the ECU while you where there.
We all have the adjustable wastegate, but they put a plug over it at the
factory.

Hey guys! Yeah, the drain under the blower box was completely clogged.
Leaves, twigs, Lord knows what else. Unclogged it and water now pours nicely
out of it whereas before there was at least two inches of standing water
there. Whew! Hopefully the ECU is OK; I drove 50 miles today and it seemed
to function fine. Will probably take some time to dry out despite my
persistent shop vaccing; a hot day would be good right bout now. As far as
the TAP mod, it sounds like a stage 1; I looked into it more deeply and I
also seem to have an adjustable wastegate due to a presence of a screw right
on top of it. If only I knew what the proper way to adjust it was....I
already ditched the K&N (it was SO DIRTY!) and replaced it with a paper
Mahle. Yeah, right now I'm leaning towards Mihnea's 3bar stage 1 upgrade..if
anybody has that setup, comments would be appreciated. Thanks again for all
your help!

Wow, it's like these cars talk to each other and decide to gang up on a
number of us at once. Got a call from my wife this morning and she is
whining about her feet are getting wet and water seems to be pouring into
her car (1995 A6Q). I figured it was one of the drains clogged up. She got
home. I pulled the plastic cover off that covers the wiopers and heater
blower, etc. Sure enough about 3" of standing water. Groped around with my
hand just to the passenger side of the centerline of the car (almost under
the blower) and yep the drain was clogged with leaves. A few pokes and all
the detritus comes out with a gallon of water. All is well now. Suggest
you check accordingly.
