i think the car you are talking about (red urs4) was
mine. the turbo is a t3/to4b .6 hot side cant remember
the trim but know it was the largest at the time. it
was put on the car in 2000 on the stock motor rs2
exhust mainfold tap stage 3 chip an the car ran 13.7
on 18lbs. next came 6speed (1st gear faild) aluminum
flywheel, custom intake and front mount intercooler
3.5x28x11.5h and new chip set from
www.northerneuropeanautomotive.com. the car then ran
12.9. next came new motor 2.6 liter fully built ported
an polishd head, intake & exhaust same turbo (now to
small)bosch motorsports fuel pump 440 rc injectors.
custom programing and other secrets from peter blaser.
car now as of 8-29-03 ran a 12.29 at 116 mph 1.810 60
foot. this is the first time posting on the list. but
long time reader. if any one wants a video of the run
email me at rechhaben at yahoo.com
thanks

OK guys, I changed e-mail addresses so I'm back on the
list now. Im gonna have an opportunity to buy a 6
month old Garret T3/T4 that's been in use on a VW GTI
with the 1.8 turbo motor. I have yet to get the specs
for something like this (as far as trim, etc...) but I
do know its capable of 25 lbs. to redline on a 1.8T.
Actual fitment issues aside, is anyone running a turbo
like this, and who can make software to make it work?
I know i'd need at the very least some bigger
injectors. There was a fellow at Waterfest this year
running a big turbo, 370CC injectors and a FMIC on a
red UrS4 and I'm aiming for a similar setup. Any BTDT
on this one? And i'm not interested in the people
that are on the "RS2 is the only way" party line.

Thanks,
Richard Kurtzer
