[s-cars] Sedan --> Avant question

This is directed to those folks that went from an S4/S6 sedan to an S6 Avant
(or have or have had both):

I've been contemplating getting an Avant to replace my '95 S6 sedan, and I'm
just wondering if those that have made such a switch have been satisfied
with the results.  I would like the extra cargo capability of the Avant (and
a place for the dog to ride), but I don't want to give up too much in the
handling and performance department.

Is driving my sedan (stock suspension, TAP stage 1 chip) with 200 pounds in
the trunk a reasonable approximation of the handling and performance I
should expect from a similarly equipped wagon?

I'd appreciate any feedback I can get!
