[s-cars] CD Player question

CD Player Mavens:

I have just finished tearing apart (to nearly the last screw) a 10-CD
Audi changer that I was given.  It had the appearance of gently sharing
a trunk with a set of barbells.  Anyway, after minor straightening out
of the sheet metal, pulling out plastic pieces and some errant
cellophane, and heat welding the plastic together, the unit is now
reassembled.  Given the amount of ravishing it had to go through to
straighten it out, I'll consider full functionality a miracle.

The vehicle that I plan to test it in is my 1995 S6 (Aug 94 build
date).  I don't have a user manual for this unit, as a CD player didn't
come with my car.  I'd like to test the player in the S6 without filling
the tray with 10 CDs  So my question is: Does a single CD have to occupy
a particular slot in the 10-CD tray?
