Alright, I'm now betting on the fact that it is indeed your ISV sticking.
You, Paulie and Bob all seem to have very similar issues, although most of
Paulies issues are mental:-) Ron, I too had the 'idle drop just about to die
but suddenly bounces up to 1400rpm save' So in my experience, and this is
the second time in 4.5 years of ownership that it has happened, turned out
to be a sticky ISV. Take the sucker off, put it in a vice at such an angle
that it allows you to fill both port holes full with brake cleaner. Let it
sit for a few hours. Now empty the ports out in a suitable container, apply
12volts intermittently to the contacts while simultaneously spraying brake
cleaner into the ports. CAUTION! put a rag of sorts over the ports as it
will shoot brake cleaner across the room as they fill up and remember not to
breath this flammable crap! Viola, put it back on and enjoy your
non-stalling S-car! This is all assuming that your BPV is still good!
