Those of us presently driving the S6 who have cast the lustful eye on 
the magnificent S8 are not necessarily after the V8 per se. It's the 
whole package that only the S8 can offer that makes us do a double take 
  at every rare black S8 that passes by.

Alas, only the automatic S8 have ever made its way into the States. 
That's why I will be trying to import one from Europe, otherwise I am 
not interested.
