Igor sentimentified, then Bob prognasticated:

My sentiments exactly, Igor. Though I'm through with black cars. Two is
enough.

I was just having this conversation with Taka this weekend. Though I was
considering the other approach of buying the 6-spd transmission, pedal
clusters, possibly ECU, etc and doing the swap on a US S8. Haven't done a
cost trade analysis on it vs. importing and federalizing a Euro S8 6-spd,
but it might be less hassle. It's down the road a couple of years yet for
me so it's just formative plans.
Go at it Paulie, you know you can't resist.
Bob>>>
Damn, you're right, I can't. I'll "go at it" first however by saying who
cares that a B6 V8 is 'faster' whatever than the D2(?) //S8 (picture the
fargin D3!?!?!)... Igor said it right, I don't do a double take when I see
one... it MAKES me do it, I'm powerless against it. Who cares what color.
That said...
A Rossato Prognastication (RP) for you all:
Bob will score a 3 yr. old //S8 with ~ 38k on it (like he did w/ his UrS6),
the morning after he mounted up all his gofast UrS parts and sold the car.
He will then proceed to buy every upgraded goodie know available to mankind
for the S8. This will include one full set (5) of every wheel combination
every possibly considered as an iteration on said car, and rotate them
through occasionally. Oh, this will also include every tool needed to
service said car. However all the 'good' parts will remain in some sort of
bizarre spacedude engineerman installation limbohiatus... being used as wall
decor, furniture, lawn ornaments, etc. Finally he'll mount them all on as
it sells it, thus the pattern repeats perpetual.
Your welcome Bob, you're right, couldn't resist (too much coffee today or
something). I will however make point of befriending you up to and through
your //S8 purchase and 6 spd. conversion, and do my damnest to ride your
coattails once again and do the f'n same. We could only be so lucky. One
can hope right?
