Here's some part numbers.
The parcel shelf I have sitting in the garage: 4A1 863 075 D + color code
This is found in the family album in illustration A6Q-95-863-10, item 6.
On the US-model family album, there is no description for item 6.
You need to look at the Euro album.
On that same illustration, item 1 (4A1 863 051 K) is listed as a
"cover under dashboard", left front, lhd, with the remark "AIR CONDIT.".
Comparing that illustration to what is in the car, this item is the
piece of black plastic under the dash the contains some of the
AC ducts that let heated air out near the driver's feet.
Item 11 on illus. A6Q-95-863-10is a black plastic cover that meshes into
item 1 on the same illus. Item 11 on A6Q-95-863-10 is repeated on
illustration A6Q-95-8-880-00 (US family album only) as item 4, and is
used with illus A6Q-95-880-00 item 1: knee bar 4A1 880 305 + color code.
Incidentally ...
Illus. A6Q-95-880-00 shows all the knee bar mounting hardware too.
Item 16, 4A1 880 481 A, is the left side mounting bracket support
for the knee bar. This has to come out to fit the parcel shelf, and
it was the mounting bolts for this item that I could not figure out
how to get at. The other knee bar support parts are easy to remove
and restore when needed.
