This was a serious thread when it started, wasn't it ? Tell me this is
a joke that you just left the tongue in cheek off the end, Elvis.
Please !! Igor did not paint his mirrors with a spray can, and
certainly not chrome. There are Kamei chrome mirror caps that slip
over the stock housing if you gotta go cheap, but let's not go beyond
that, ok ?
Igor, please put the icon after the sarcasm for those slow to recognize
it.
What I was interested in was the brushed aluminum caps that were OEM to
RS4/6 and S8 I think, at a price point well below the 400 euro dealer
price or the $349 ebay gouger price for the housing only. These are
each, by the way. The recent ebay auctions indicate there are some
(probably knockoffs) available in Germany in cast aluminum at a more
reasonable price. I would like to escape the repaint job on the
mirrors again ( $125 this time) but not have to go to black plastic.
Tom '95 S6 with newly painted pearl white mirrors with 3M scotchcal
clear paint protector shields.
