[s-cars] Static Current Drain - Any Data Points?

Fred,
0.28 amps seems high to me. Usually I measure around 0.05 amps. However,
0.28 amps times 72 hours is about 21 amp-hours and your battery should be
able to handle that much drain. I suspect you have two problems, one is too
high of a drain and the other is a weak battery. Even if you get a brand
new battery you could not leave this car for more than 4-5days and expect it
to start with a 0.28 amp drain. This should not be the case. It sounds
like the phone may be your culprit as 80 milliamps, after you subtract the
200 milliamp phone, would seem to me to be more normal.

Subject: [s-cars] Static Current Drain - Any Data Points?
Has anyone measured the current drain with their UrS "at rest". My battery
drained flat over the Easter weekend, and I mean flat. It seems to have
charged up OK. I noticed when I reconnected it the window switches were lit
and the windows were powered. Opening the front door inactivated the window
power as it should. The car draws 0.15 amps with the alarm off and 0.28 amps
with the alarm activated. Seems reasonable to me - any other data points?
I've noticed the car turning over slow during the past few weeks in the
morning - I suspect something was draining the battery overnight.
Unfortunately, all seems OK now unless 0.28 amps is an unreasonable current
draw.
I did find the radiophone was drawing 0.20 amps and pulled the fuse - the
pop in the speaker when I connected the battery led me to find that.
At this point I think the windows may have been remaining powered up for
whatever reason - I'll have to keep an eye on them. The alarm got itself
reversed twice this winter as well - probably connected to the situation
somehow.
