Chris,
I have a 94 S4 with 146,000 miles that I have tried to blow up for almost
70,000 miles and other than having to replace the head gasket (and all kinds of
other fun stuff while I was in there) have not had any big problems. My wife's
S6 Avant has 160,000miles on it and we went with the full RS2 package last
fall and if anything the car seems to run better than before. GO FOR IT!!

Elijah
