LOL Thanks for the laugh Tom I needed that. ;-)
In terms of the press release, I had hoped to be able to post good news. I will not go into specifics here but my reasons for terminating the site have to do with my need to enter into a lawsuit with a former business associate. I won't post names or give specifics here due to the ongoing situation. In the last few days it has become clear that attempting to settle this matter is futile and I _must_ now pursue matters through an attorney.

Rest assured, this lawsuit has nothing at all to do with the s-cars site in any way shape or form. It is between myself and another individual. Like I said, the termination would be done to conserve costs as well as to free up a lot of time that is otherwise spent replying to emails, handling classifieds, and moderating the list.

At the present time everything is happening at once and time is in short supply. I'm busy documenting everything for this lawsuit, trying to figure out what to do about s-cars, preparing to move out of the Twin Cities back to Iowa to cut expenses, and working on a (hopeful) new business venture in Iowa with a few investors.

I know that doesn't exactly answer all your questions but you'll just have to trust me on this for now. I won't make any detailed public statements regarding the situation. ;-)

I promise I'll try to figure something out and keep the site online. I appreciate all the supportive emails and apologize for not being able to reply to your questions about the situation.

Cheers,
