So is the 996 Caliper larger/smaller than the 993TT?

More pad choices for the 993, I gather, but that's starting to change?

I'm trying to decide which of these to buy myself, and most of the 
arguements for ECS so far have more to do with it's "kit" nature than 
any real comparison of the parts.  And since I can get BIRA in kit form 
for close to the price of the ECS if I want, that really doesn't matter.
