My 996 non-turbo calipers produce squeal on occasion.

It is better with the Porsche anti-vibration pucks and either
OEM Textars or Hawk HPS, but they still squeal once in a while.

The OEM setup on our Volvo V70R with 4-piston Brembo monoblocks on
all 4 corners squeals every now and then as well, I think it may
be something you have to live with when you have big brakes.
These brakes are 322x32 front, 320x28 rear.

I have not heard sliding caliper brake setups squeal, maybe this
is one of the reasons why so many OEM setups use sliding calipers
rather than fixed calipers?

The 996 TT calipers I have are red, as they should be.
Also I have not heard of any issues of squealing brakes with monoblock
style calipers. I can not say the same about 993 calipers..
