[s-cars] RE: AP not Alcon!

Pablo,
AP racing 4-pot calipers with slotted 2 piece rotors, best of both worlds
IMO. Light weight of a 2 piece design without the worries of cracking
perforated rotors.

Having had this system and the ECS stage III, I prefer the feel of the AP.
However it is not a perfect analysis, due to the fact that the systems were
installed on different cars. The green 95 avant with ECS had some hydraulic
system issues, so its tough to say for sure.

The good thing about the ECS III is it fits under 16 Avus with no clearance
issues (other than, it looks damn close). I am pretty sure the AP's require
17" wheels. I believe the 996 monoblocks require spacers to work with stock
16" wheels.

I had intended to replace the AP system on the blue 95.5 avant with the ECS
Stage III that is now sitting in a box. This would allow for summer/winter
tires (I have a set of the OE 16" Avus which I can't use with the AP setup).
But I'm starting to question my logic of disrupting a very good system that
is already installed on the 95.5.

I may be convinced to part with my ECS Stage III Big Blacks. Contact me off
the list if interested.
