Rich,
I apologize in advance, because I haven't personally
done the install. However, I just talked to Dave Jones
at Autosport Werks, and he gave me the info you are
looking for.
With the LLtek valence, there is actually MORE room
for the IC core (the bottom of the bumper doesn't
sweep back as fast) and no modification is required of
the center section. However, on the side vents,
there is a little trimming required. According to
Dave, you will need to remove the grills from the side
vents, remove 1" to 1-1/2" of depth from the vent, and
replace the grills. He also informed me that you
cannot tell that any modification was done whatsoever
when you are finished.
Trimming of the bumper core is still required, and
this modified bumper core is included in our
intercooler package. We do ask, however, that
upon receiving the FMIC package, you send us your
stock bumper core to avoid a $200 core charge.
I do not have any pictures of the install since we did
not perform the installation.
As for your intake/oil cooler, for your info, the
turbo side plumbing runs from the turbo outlet (stock
or samco hoses) between the chassis tube and the oil
cooler line (the horn must be relocated), and directly
around the tow hook structure. On the TB side, we run
up, between the main chassis tube and the headlight,
and into the stock/samco throttle body hose. There
should still be plenty of room for the OC/intake you
are looking for.
Thanks, let me know if you have any more questions,
and sorry for the confusion,
Brooks Beal

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Thats dissapointing As you can guess I was hoping for
the oposite response (that with that application MORE
room was available). My hope was to mod up a inlet
"scoop" to use ALL of the R. vent for intake and move
and or replace the OE oil cooler to the former OE
intercooler location behind the L. vent.
So shallowing the vent inlets, is to accomadat the
side pipes therfore my idea/application is TSOL?
Is the the trimming of the (alum) bumber support still
necessary? I wold like to see the pics of the TRIMMED
VENTS as well. Id hate to lose some of the form to
accomadate funtion but if it isnt that obvious ...?
R.
