[s-cars] (Single) Euro-light (replacement) sources + prices

Perhaps this is an answer to a question that nobody has, but thought
I'd share the results of a bit of phone-research with the list in case
somebody is needing a Euro-light or two...

At the end of my 2500 mile trip back to Michigan from Oregon in my S4,
I noticed that the headlight output from the left side of my
Euro-lights were lacking.

A bit of investigation showed that the plastic reflector housing (the
one that the metal bulb holding part rivets to) had melted and
deformed. My best guess is that one of the rivets holding the metal
base to the plastic failed, and the resulting dislocation of the lamp
base brought the hot bulb in close contact with the plastic, which
caused the melting.

So new Euro-lamp time for me. After a bit of archive searching and
web googling, I found several possible sources for Eurolights and
decided to call them all up (existing lights were purchased used on
ebay.de while I was in Germany, in retrospect a very bad idea - should
have just gotten new ones!!!)

In the end the oft-mentioned PUMA had the best price, no surpise based
on what I read. Also none of them seemed to mind selling individual
lamps (I had been worried that they might only sell them in pairs)

Here is what I found out from the 3 suppliers that had stock, shipping
prices are to Michigan. (part was 1 Left/Driver side Euro Headlamp)

PUMA -
(800) 35-HELLA (354-3552) (Ohio)
Paul
$389

Denon Performance Products
(888) 468-0688 (Washington)
Andy
$469 US + $35 shipping Fedex

PG PERFORMANCE
1-888-806-7978 (Vancouver BC)
Paul Jr.
CD$640 (~US$475) + CD$45 (~US$35 ) shipping UPS

One thing I should have asked was if they came with bulbs, but it was
not a big deal to me since I already have a few spares. I would
assume that if ordering a pair, the per-peice price would be less.

Slightly related - somewhere in Washington (state) my right "clear
euro" turn lamp housing fell out, taking the bulb and socket with it.
ECS Tuning was willing to sell individual lamps and got a replacement
to me quickly.

Cheers,
Keith
