That's quite an impressive alibi!
When I received the phone call, my caller ID showed a southern NJ number I
didn't recognize, and a reverse google lookup shows that Mr. Baloney was
calling from the Governor's office. Must be some kind of club for guys in
search of a tranny.

Subject: [s-cars] sfest or bust... currently bust
Folks
I motored all the thru to south NJ with no issues until after stopping at a
light, depressed the clutch, put into gear, let out clutch and voila ..
nothing, no movement..
While sitting wating for the flat bed a phone call to good old helpful uncle
bob, landed me at Elite Auto svc in Pennsauken NJ (thanks bob) where they
are currently removing the Trans... I think:(
At first I thought a busted axle or CV joint but after they checked that on
the lift, they said not that.
So, I am miffed. this morning I thought well maybe the slave cylinder has
jammed open?
The only possible indication I had prior to failure was a slight whining
sound when lifting off the accelerator.
Car runs and will go into any gear but clutch will not release to produce
movement.
Any thoughts?
TIA
Bill M
