Ti Kan agrees with you, probably H7's. 

Don't NEED those bulbs, but if they were the 9005/6,
then I cold do the 9011/12 set-up. I found the improvement
to rival or actually exceed Euro's, though not quite HID's 
(saw enough of them at NE S-Fest yesterday). Really, 
nothing lacking in the light output, only flaw is the low
beam US pattern (slight kick up instead of the 45 degree
kick up of Euro projectors). Oh well, moot point,
can't do it for Mom's Passat and add to the potential
GP. Bummer.
