Matt looked to stimulate yet another GP:

Subject: [s-cars] Any interest in a 9011/9012 GP?
I missed out on the previous GP and was wondering if anyone is
interested in these... I contacted Daniel Stern and he said that if
there was enough interest to purchase 24 HIR bulbs that he could do
the previous GP price of US$27.80 per bulb.
Thanks,

Some feedback / FWIW... I and the others that participated in that GP have
been tickled. Well, I only did the 9011 highs as I had my Xe's waiting to
join them, but everyone I've spoken too with them all say the same thing...
they provide an appreciable benefit, worth the coin IMHO. Now those with
the low 9012 have given mixed reviews... some say 'ok', some say not really
any change, YMMV.
Now the Xe's on the other hand... shoot, why spend 000,000s trying to make
the pig 'faster' when you can spend < $300 for this? Best thing the car has
received to date. But that's another thread... one that I'm sure Tom
Mullane will document for you all (bwhahahaha you hopelessly unressurectable
bastard)...
But basically, the 9011's coupled with Euro lenses create near sublime
bright white pencil beams... very acceptable and no need for 100W
potential-reflector-nuking bulbs, no relays, wiring harness changes, etc.
