Holy crap!!
An S-Fest with 3 Prancing Horses including a Lusso? In Denver you won't
usually see a Lusso out at a Ferrari meet let alone another marque.
Dennis>>>
Sure... why not??? Heh heh heh...
Ah yes, the '63 250GTL Lusso. 24k miles, original (mint) interior. 98
point car. One of ~ 330 imported '62-'63.
I for once exercised better judgment and spared the list of my
"whoooooooooaaaamygawwwwwwwwwd!!!!!!!" report after I flogged her for 40
miles last month. Figured there was no measurable Audi content as the owner
Bob only seems to own Ferrari's... oh, and a 996tt (his beater / commuter
he says, in shop during //SFest unfortunately). Since that's AWD, I guess
that's close enough for a report...
Best description of that car... catch the Alain DeCadenet - Victory By
Design series on the Ferrari marque somewhere (Speedvision) sometime (all of
us owe it to ourselves to catch each one of those really). While a Lusso is
not specifically featured, damn does that show do SUCH good justice to what
those Weber'd V12's sound like.
Not only at idle / rev, but wow under full load full 6,500rpm.
_OH_MY_FREAKING_GAWSH_. The hair on my neck stood on end repeatedly during
the adventure, esp. once up on cam an past 4k... actually I'm getting
goosebumps & T.H.O.'S just now from the mere thought. Nearly as special as
sitting in one of the ~ 35 priceless 250GTO's @ LRP last month...
I digress... sorry... couldn't resist 8-). Anyone who wants a bunch of
detailed pics and / or some quick vid (large files) shoot me an email.
-Paul NAC'd you all with F355 Spider and GT2 reports in the past don't want
to sicken you further with F550M and 250GTL reports now K.
