Subject: Re: [s-cars] Chipping
Hi Jeremy,
Minhea Cotet does make an off-the-shelf chip for our cars. There is a
guy in
West Virginia, Robert Myers, who acts as his NA agent, I guess thats
what
you'd call him. I was quoted $520 for chips and 3 bar pressure
transducer. I
was considering going this route in the spring. But if we can get a
Group
Purchase going then that would be great.

Don't forget to add to the mix the Uncle Bob Pastore chip that's available,
assuming he's still doing them. Same / similar to MTM 1+ I believe, at a
good savings.
Now, for giggles, I'll add that I went from MTM 1+ to the MRC Crackchip.
Yes, crack. It's addictively torquey, very smooth, linear but still has a
great hard punch, neverever pings, and best of all hits down LOW. I'm
seeing full 21 psi boost as low as 2,800 in 4th & 6th, about 3k in 3rd. How
fun is that? Sometimes I don't even downshift out of 6th, I can just mash
it as I'm cruising right at powerband. 80-120 is a blur 8-).
Sooooooooooooo much better than my MTM chip, which I did enjoy btw (not the
pingyping tho), I liked the binary hit it provided, but I'm weeeeeird.
YMMV, my LWFW and other tid bits seemed to allow Mihnea to dial in more
advance than he was on the other K24 cars. But I'd assume the off the shelf
chips are at least similar. Cars been running extremely well since, feels
very right. My MPG's have suffered, but that's consequential, and hard
earned work worth every cent.
I'll also add I'd have *zero* reservations working remotely with both Mihnea
/ Bob, or Uncle Bob. All stand up guys and will treat you right, as I'm
sure all have gleaned from the list over time.
My notaskedfor $0.002.
