[s-cars] 8.5" rim - wheel offset

I have used 18x8.5 bbs rc's for a while now, with 255 35 18's and have
used +10mm spacers in the front and -5mm in the front and back, one set
has 5mm cut out of the back spacing.  The front lips had to be rolled
and the plastic had to be cut near the lip so that the tired didn't hit.
The car is lowered a bit.  I kinda like running a narrower track in the
back and as wide a track in the front as possible.  If I remember right
they are et38.5 stock rc's 43.5 33.5 all the way to 28.5 could be used.
Or you could suggest that there  is enough room for 15mm more rim, or
basically another half inch at least, in the front with the a few mods,
and easily in the back.  A friend actually fit up 18x9's with 275's in
the back with no modifications.

just trying to confirm that a 18" x 8.5" rim, with a 35mm offset,
will work on a UrS. tire size will be 225/40-18 and should be fine,
if the 35mm offset is right. i received a lot of info on rims/tires,
but no one seemed to confirm or deny what offsets would work. thanks.
