Someone posted recently, that in addition to lubing the latch mechanism, that one should also work the keys in the locks as well. This is good advice; to operate a mechanism once in a while - just because.

However, as we all know, if one is not careful, this can confuse our hi-tech, air powered central locking systems by getting everything out of sync.

I was reminded yesterday afternoon.
