I used to travel a lot between home (Colorado) and cities at or near sea
level. One thing I've noticed, is that the car is much more sensitive to ignition
maladies at altitude than at sea level. A car running perfectly down low may
have misfiring under boost here. Usually it has been fixed by a set of
plugs.
Before I figured this out, I was calling my software guy, thinking it was
something in the tuning. Possibly, this may have been your issue.
