Mike,

I have a chipped '89 200, very similar to your 5k, and my '92 S4.  The
chipped 200 will not keep up with the S4.  That feeling that you feel when
you are at your sweet spot of about 3500-4500 rpm in the 5k should be
approximately how anything between 3k and 6.2k feel in the S4, er S6 in your
case.

just a further note that may help. my 87 5kcstq with tap chip and 1.8 bar
spring totally blows away my sons s6.....so much so that i can pass him flat
out in third gear? do any of you know if this is normal or is his car
exhibiting some other symptom that could cause the plug problem? (very few
cars can challenge my 5k) :>)
