Matthew,
I'd venture a guess that the issue was fuel. My
MRC (Mihnea) Stage 1 is somewhat sensitive to
fuel (specifically, 93 octane Mobil), and it will lightly
stumble when the wrong fuel is used. Mihnea offered
a method of making the car less fuel sensitive (back
off the WG) but I elected to keep the extra punch and
chose to search out Shell, Sunoco or BP/Amoco. The
91 octane fuel, although matched to the higher altitude
needs, may have just pushed your car over the edge
when at the higher altitudes. I'd say, try to fill up at lower
altitudes on the occasion you go to extreme altitudes,
or contact Mihnea if you intend to spend much time at
altitude.
