I am now the owner of this Avant and Intake and so far no problems for
me either, including a lot of heavy rain driving.    I will take some
pictures to share.

The only downside is that you really hear the BPV chuffing away.

Then again that could be a plus if you're trying to fit in with the
Evo/STi crowd...
