[s-cars] also starting to consider other awd sedans

i'm doing the same as the person taking a gander at the s60r. the wife
loooooves the A4 sedan, but we were thinking of getting something else
for her in the next year or so. some criteria for general fat chewing:

- must be relatively compact. the a4 is almost too big for her.
- must be awd. must be awd. must be awd. she drove a fwd rental
recently and hated it, bless her heart.
- must be 'sporty'. certainly her definition of sporty is different
from mine, but it needs to have a distinct lack of wallowy ride and
enough kick from the motor to get her in and out of traffic.
- would like to be available in automatic tranny

the r32 is a good car, but i don't think it's available in an auto, so
she'd have to learn manual.

i'm not happpy with the volvos, so they are out

another a4 -- very might well happen

b5 s4 tip -- yup, she likes my s4 a lot.

she won't drive a bimmer, so that's out.

any more thoughts?
