[s-cars] To re-upholster or not to re-upholster

Kevin,

I depends on how much repair your seats need and how
slippery your slope is.

All the parts and pieces for the seats are available
at the dealer. The outer bolster on the bottom
cushion is not integrated into the center section.
The foam is also available separately.

A friend had his lower bolster repaired and it is
hard to tell. Total cost = $70. Good shops are
around. Of course, as has been mentioned, these
seats are not easy to work on (BTDT when I replaced
my seat heater element).

IMHO seat covers look like crap.

Tom

My local stealer recommended a shop they use and tell
me they do good
work. Perhaps you can get a similar recommendation
from your stealer.

I have not yet succumbed to the ever stronger urge to
have my driver's seat
reupholstered. It's coming. :-(
