[s-cars] anyone know what turbo the S60R uses??

Sorry for the off topic:
I am waiting delivery on an 05V70R. The turbo on the S60/V70R is a
K24/26 hybrid. It is a good turbo for stock engine but will have too
much backpressure on the hotside when you start tweaking the boost. I
have sent a stock V70R turbo to a KKK specialist for a full
blueprinting/balancing work, some porting on the hotside also
zeroclearancing the coldside. I'll be adding also a 3" downpipe, 100
cell metal cat and full catback exhaust.
With regard to the dual IC, it is an afterthought design by the Volvo
engineers. The put the main IC stupidly sandwiched between the
radiator and AC condenser hence poor performance of the car during
summer with the AC on. They added the second/smaller IC in front of
the other three most probably trying to alleviate the heatsoak issue
but it is just not enough in hot summer months with AC on especially
when you start chipping the car. Somebody in TX just came out with a
pretty good FMIC. I am definitely for that one also.
I still love my 92S4 with 117kmiles but I also need an 6sp AWD wagon
that can go pretty fast and still carry up to 7 person. As such only
V70R fits the bill. The MB E500 4matic wagon is just way too much
dough and hard to tweak and no 6sp.
