So, I'm headed to SoCal last night to join my wife for the birth of our third grandson. On the way to DIA there is a major expressway that is always heavily patrolled with radar. Well, as I am about to exit some jerk driving a fairly new SL500 cuts me off and is basically making himself very dangerous to society. He's also doing all this while on his cel phone. I decide to see if I can provoke him. He gets caught in traffic and I pass and slow him down. I'm in my wife's A6 4.2 so my performance is limited. I'm basically blocking every move he tries to make just as my V1 gives me a heads up for boggies ahead. We come to a rise in the road with the signal getting stronger and I let him pass me on the right. He blasts ahead only to be caught by the law. As I passed him and the officer I just wagged an accusing finger his way. No, I didn't flip him off. And, as a multi-tasked trained pilot, talk on radios, navigate, chew gum, and fly airplane all at once, I don't think it should be against the law to talk on a cel phone. BTW, our 3rd grandson joined the family this evening. He's all of 8lbs and 2 ozs.
